Mr. Bean

Mr. Bean This cartoon version of the hit live action TV series, "Mr. Bean", certainly hasn't managed to match its predecessor's wide appeal, and has disappointed certain fans, but it has managed to impress some viewers, including me. I saw just a little bit of an episode on TV a few years ago, but didn't actually sit down to watch any episodes until a while later, when I rented the first of the three DVD sets. Like the original series, it made me laugh, that's for sure. This year, I've finally seen every episode, and while it is somewhat inferior to the live action series, it has still given me plenty of laughs, and I would say it's superior to both of the movies. Mr. Bean is still the same kind of person he's known to be. He is still a goofy, naive, self-centred loner, constantly struggling with life, with his Teddy as his best friend. Having the mind of a child, he keeps getting himself into trouble and finding himself on little adventures, thi

Andy Pandy

Andy Pandy  Andy Pandy made his television debut on 11 July 1950. His appearance - later with his friends Teddy and Looby Loo - was an acknowledgement of the hold that television had on the very young, and an attempt to provide tailor-made programmes for them. Andy Pandy was initially seen as an experiment, but its success was such that the Watch With Mother strand was made, which added The Flowerpot Men, The Woodentops, and Rag, Tag and Bobtail over the following years.Andy Pandy was created by Freda Lingstrom and Maria Bird. Bird wrote and presented the programme, coaxing Andy out of his basket to dance and play, and encouraging the children at home to join in. Andy himself never spoke. Audrey Atterbury operated Andy via his very visible strings, and songs were sung by Janet Ferber. Every programme ended with the song "Time to go home", as Andy waved goodbye and returned to his basket. The few original programmes were repeated until 1969 and are remembered with fondness by s

Doraemon

Dorae mon Doraemon possesses a fourth-dimensional pocket from which he can acquire various kinds of futuristic tools, gadgets, and playthings from a future department store. Doraemon originally had ears but they were bitten off by a robotic mouse in the 22nd century. As a result, he developed a morbid fear of mice despite being a robotic cat. He also has the tendency to panic during emergencies, characterized by him frantically trying to pull out a very much-needed tool from his pocket, only to produce a huge assortment of unrelated household items. Doraemon's favourite food is dorayaki, a Japanese treat filled with red bean paste. Doraemon is considered a substandard product because many of his robotic features (ie. radar whiskers and cat-calling bell) malfunctioned after production. One can turn off Doraemon by pulling his balloon tail. In the 2007 birthday episode, 'MS-903' is used to call Doraemon by the factory owner where Doraemon is produced. Doraemon usually uses
